What your donation funds: coordinated access to care.
JLC operates an integrative care coordination model. Jen provides direct clinical services, including talk therapy, clinical assessments, and program facilitation. Beyond that, JLC coordinates a network of trusted practitioners offering complementary modalities: neurofeedback, yoga, somatic therapy, Safe and Sound Protocol (a nervous-system calming protocol), and EMDR. Your provider knows your whole story, and your care works together instead of in silos.
This model is what makes JLC different from a single-modality practice or a fragmented institutional referral system. It is also what makes donor support essential.
Why the model needs funding
Insurance does not always cover complementary modalities. Neurofeedback, therapeutic yoga, and Safe and Sound Protocol are variably covered. When a Veteran's treatment plan includes these modalities alongside Jen's direct clinical work, donor funds bridge the gap between "clinically recommended" and "financially accessible."
What donor money funds
- Coordination infrastructure that connects clients to the right practitioners at the right time
- Scholarship access to network modalities when insurance falls short
- Practitioner vetting so every provider in the network meets JLC's clinical standards
- Community programming (Faith-Grounded Study Groups, Community Lift, group wellness) that keeps people connected between clinical sessions

For those who share our foundation.
JLC Wellness Collective is built on a deep conviction that every person has inherent worth and purpose. That conviction shows up in every program we run, for every person we serve, regardless of their background or beliefs.
For donors who share our faith foundation, know that this work grows from Jen Canning's calling to serve those who need it most. Clinical excellence and spiritual depth are not separate tracks at JLC. They are the same work, held together by the belief that whole-person wellness includes the parts of us that are hardest to name.
If that resonates with you, if you believe in supporting a practice where clinical rigor meets faith-grounded care, we invite you to partner with us.
JLC Wellness Collective believes healing must extend beyond the individual. Our work supports veterans, first responders, spouses, children, and families as a whole. We recognize that trauma, stress, and life transitions affect entire family systems. Our approach combines traditional counseling with holistic wellness strategies designed to support emotional, mental, relational, occupational, environmental, intellectual, physical, and spiritual well-being — the 8 Dimensions of Wellness. Many of these supportive services are not fully covered by insurance, creating a need for community partnerships and donor support.
Jen Canning, FounderFaith-Grounded Study Groups
JLC's Faith-Grounded Study Groups explore spiritual wellness through shared study, honest conversation, and community. For donors who want to support this specifically, your gift funds the gathering space, study materials, and facilitation that make these groups possible.
