How JLC Counseling and Wellness Began
JLC was born from a simple observation and a profound calling: young adults and families in Douglas County needed more than quick fixes or surface-level solutions. They needed comprehensive support that addressed every area of life — mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual — grounded in the belief that every person has inherent worth and deserves care across every dimension of their life.
What started as a vision to mentor young adults through the eight dimensions of health has grown into a multi-faceted ministry serving individuals at every stage of life. From young adults discovering their purpose to couples strengthening their marriages to families in crisis receiving immediate help, ELEV8 has become a place where transformation happens and community thrives.
We believe that real change doesn't come from programs alone — it comes from relationships. From walking alongside people in their struggles and victories. From pointing them to the One who offers hope, healing, and wholeness.
Meet the Founder
Jennifer brings more than 20 years of experience as a licensed professional counselor to JLC Wellness Collective's nonprofit mission. Her clinical background shapes how every JLC program is designed — grounded in evidence-based practice, built for real people, and held with care for the whole person.
Beyond her professional experience, Jennifer brings the richness of her own life journey into her practice. She and her husband share a blended family of two adult children and two adult stepchildren, a source of joy, perspective, and gratitude. Together they love skiing, biking, hiking, and exploring the beautiful Colorado landscape they are proud to call home.
Jennifer’s passion for serving others extends far beyond the counseling room. She is deeply involved in her community and her church, dedicating her time and energy to uplifting those around her. Her warmth, steadiness, and genuine care create a welcoming space where individuals and couples can feel seen, supported, and empowered.
With a lifelong commitment to helping people navigate both everyday struggles and deeply personal transitions, Jennifer strives to walk alongside each person with empathy, encouragement, and hope.

ELEV8 Mentorship Program
Nine-month intensive mentorship for young adults (18-25) addressing all eight dimensions of health through personalized guidance, group sessions, and neurofeedback.
Those Who Serve
Coordinated integrative therapy and wraparound support for veterans and first responders healing from what service asked of them.
Personal Growth & Wellness
DBT skills groups, women's and men's groups, and adult wellness offerings for the ongoing work of growth.
Community Lift
Direct support for families in Douglas County facing hardship, including Thanksgiving meals, holiday assistance, school supplies, and emergency support.
